Haydels makes a good, classic king cake. And they ship.

He is right. Cajun Pecan House best king cake ever. Try before you run your mouth.

Marguerites in Slidell makes awesome king cakes and ships. They have a lot of varieties to choose from in person, too. Haydels is another fav. Caludas Coffee Cottage is good. I don’t see the hype over Randazzos, it’s a cult following.

Cannatas is good and a friend shipped one from there a couple of years ago and said pricing was fair. Over $30 for the Vietnamese king cake? Nah. Mass shipping has ruined king cakes for locals. Some places to can’t even phone in an order for a particular kind anymore to pick up. I miss the days of walking into anywhere and just picking one up.

They've been doing that for years through Cisco.

My good mate Henry Chigbu is still out there as well. Stop in and give him my regards while you wait for your overpriced cinnamon sugar bread

Dong Phuong started shipping that way. Their cakes would arrive looking a mess after being sent through the ringer at FedEX. They let you do the work for a better appearing end product.

You may want to call and check to see if they are open this weekend.

I am not sure they are open weekends.

If you ever stop in lake charles, try harvest bakery or De Bekery.

You could just pick up a dong phuong from Junior's in Lakeview and not risk your life.

Dong Phuong's sandwiches are criminally underrated. They are honestly worth a trip out there without picking up a king cake.
