What's the blanket called that goes between the sheets and the comforter?

Some look almost knit or crocheted...though that's not what I'm looking for.

Are there any of these mid-sheets, for lack of a better word, that are mind-blowing or have-to-haves?

Sauce?

Is that the one you use to wipe the dew off the lily after you have relations?

Matelasse. Don't judge. I'm not gay. I have a wife with strange bedding habits.

The top or flat sheet between the comforter and fitted sheet.

The fitted sheet that goes on the mattress with elastic corners

The comforter on top. Or maybe you prefer a Duvet.
