This. Times 1,000,000,000,000,000. My ex fought like hell to not become her mother but nature being what it is she is now just like her mom personality wise. It is scary how much so. Hell, they don’t even speak any longer because they are so much alike.

#1 for me is intelligence and not just raw intelligence but being well educated and having true curiosity.
#2 is personality they have to be funny, an extrovert to some extent and have to be able to entertain people
#3/4 body and face are very close here but exercising and staying in shape is the most important, I want them to be around a long time and be able to enjoy life
#5 politics their leanings don't bother me as long as they aren't extreme but most important is they don't live their life through a political lens all the time. I have never met anyone that is fully immersed daily in politics that wasn't miserable on some level.

I understand being comparable on politics but my wife and I used to be on different ends of the political spectrum. We just didn’t talk about and talked about things we enjoyed. It was crazy, we fell in love abs never had a stupid argument about who should have guns or whether or not to be taxed more. If politics is a major deciding in the person you are with. I feel bad for you.
