What’s it like being the dad of an all star little league baseball player?

I can only imagine the high of having a kid excel in something that doesn't matter. It must be exhilarating.

Well you yell about how your kid could be better
Get mad at other parents for talking about your kid

Awesome knowing I'll get to look forward to a summer full of "World Series" weekends in Memphis and Panama City Beach

It's hard to keep us all grounded. We have to keep the little people and picture in mind to ensure day to day success instead of looking ahead to the payday.

Its awesome. Im sure they scream at their kid every game, then go home and ruin their lives therr be tslkjng about fricking baseball to a kid.

My kid wreaked havoc on community t-ball, coach pitch, then kid pitch and some tournament play.
He was usually the best player on the team and has a ton of game balls.
Then at 12 he told me baseball was boring and he was done, frick me

One of my son's player soccer travel ball. Agreed, that travel ball stuff gets ridiculously expensive and it takes a whole block of your weekends over.

No clue about little league but I held my chest out further than I ever did before when my kid went to state as the anchor of his 4x200m relay team.

Can you imagine how often people ask how little Jayden won all of his rings?
Scruffy made sure to build a ring/trophy shelf right next to the front door.
We took down our wedding photo so that his World Series rings would get the most attention.
Scruffy can’t wait to see Jayden pitch in the transparish international state World Series in Zwolle next month.
Go Boomers!

Every team wants you to “help” coach so they can have your kid on their team. Did this for years glad it’s over

I have mixed feelings after several years of this crap. It was fun, met a lot of people, son had a good time and wanted to play but at the end of the day I wish I could get the time and money back. End result he got burnt out and it wasn’t worth it in the long run.

I coached my sons all-star team when he was 8 years old. The kids were great but the parents were awful. We had one kid that ended up being a 1st round pick of the Cincinnati Reds. It was obvious even at that age that he was head and shoulders above anyone else on our team or anyone we played.
