Why would you laugh? You would sign your kid up to play ball and then wouldn’t let him play with the better kids in the league at the end of the season?

They hit off a tee and run to first, then run to 2nd when the next batter hits, rinse repeat

I might have seen 2 legit outs in 15 games this year. The best you can hope for is for them to catch a grounder and make a semi- decent throw in the vicinity of 1st base

They don’t pay attention, at all

Are you sure you’re not watching weeball? Sounds like wee ball.

Now granted there are a ton of kids that are what you speak, but there are kids that are pretty decent. They don’t run to first and just stay there. They run around the bases when coaches send them and get put out. There’s been many many many put outs over the course of the season.

So why is it such a bad thing to get together all the better kids at the end of the year from the town you play in and play the better kids from a few other towns in your district at the end of the season?

So do you have kids that play? Why are you watching?

For something you seem to hate so much, you have a kid playing?

You’re going to tell me that if they asked your kid to play all-stars one year, you’d laugh in their face and call them ridiculous?

I played baseball for 17 years. I don’t hate baseball, I think travel ball is ridiculous the way it is today

And yes, I would laugh hysterically if someone told me there was a tball all star team

I made it to all stars as a little league player and my baseball career ended in 9th grade. But that was due to a shoulder injury from a dirt bike wreck

That’s a you problem. They know more than you think they do. Some of them anyway. I do agree with you that there are some that shouldn’t even be out there because they couldn’t care less. But what about the ones that do?

Ok? So what about when your kid gets older and is good enough to make an All-Star team? You wouldn’t allow him to play? How old is your kid?

The “travel ball for life!” people, absolutely. The ones that think that their kid playing travel ball puts them in some upper echelon of society are obnoxious af.

Not all parents are that way. If at some point, my kid is asked to play, then he will play, but there are other sports year round as well. He won’t play constantly. Flag football is next. Do we have a problem with flag football on the OT too?

Y’all are always bashing this subject by my boy loves it.

It keeps him active as opposed to being a zombie in front of a tablet all summer.
