re: What's going on with Walton from Walton & Johnson?

Walton has never been the same since his son died.
That's when he really departed from their stupid, yet entertaining, little morning show and starting moving into crotchety old man territory. The unhinged rants all started with railing against modern medicine and the suffering his son went through with cancer treatments, all for naught. They'd be doing their show and he'd just get on his soapbox and go off on a rant about doctors and poison and totally kill any vibe Johnson had going. From there, he just expanded the range of targets he'd rant about. When your act is a classic straight man/funny man act and the straight man is regularly being depressing and not setting up the funny man, you've got a problem.
Losing his son just fricked his mind up.

I stopped listening to those dudes when they started getting political. Which is when I think they moved their show to Texas. They talked about the same shite over and over.
But this just made me this about a guy I use to work with who made me hate political radio shows and people who listen to them all the time. Dude use to come back from lunch and would get in a conversation that had nothing to do with politics and say "Thats like Rush said the other day.......".
It was assumed he meant Rush Limbaugh.. Unless there was some other radio personality named Rush.. But he would always say something like "When I was listening to Rush.....".. And he talked kind of slow and would always drag out Rush.. Like Ruuuush..
That dude sucks (the former coworker).
:banghead:

His big month will be over in a few days so he'll calm down then, hopefully.
Obama is a communist fraud who can't finish a sentence without the teleprompter, so I actually liked those years.

ouch that had to smart, not too many bigger egos than those of "on air personalities," although I don't know why
Bobby Bones is the worst. Mfer has turned into megadouche since doin the dancing show and being groomed by Ryan Seacrest to do Idol appearances. Ugly smug frick.
At least Kidd Kraddick was big on self deprecating humor with regard to things out of his specialty. Bones thinks he is a comic, a song writer, and some righteous role model because he's sober.

People still listen to that?

I heard them say on the show he has been in the hospital. Even though I wrote them off years ago, I started listening to a bit of it again.
Hope he gets better soon and can return.
I believe he specifically mentioned "this thing with my blood" on air. That seems to imply leukemia.

It was like watching late night TV since 2016. Who needs material when all you have to do is mock the president non stop?

My guess is he’s in rehab.

Naw... whoever the clown is from GimmeTheVIN.com has ruined every Saturday morning trying to listen to what used to be rock & roll on 98.1 when I am working in the yard. He thinks he's a self-proclaimed genius because his callers are dumber than a box of rocks and he screws them out of money. I hate that smug POS.

Business owners who buy their way into weekend radio shows are scumbags.
There was an AM station in Atlanta that paid its bills this way. Many of the "shows" were just the same recording played over and over again.
One of them was a company that wanted to sell you some super-pricy computer program that told you when to buy and sell stocks. Baaaaaarf!
Station was purchased by the Roman Catholic Church a few months ago. God be praised!

Remember when those guys were relevant back in the late eighties early nineties. Unlistenable now unfortunately.
Been that way a long damn time.

I make a joke about throat cancer and gay blow jobs and get down voted. Huge fan of the show. Walton would probably laugh, but it’s too degrading for the sissies on this board.
Wonder if people here even know Kenneth is fake.
ETA....by far the best option in nola for mornings. Their competition is kelly raspberry, the breakfast club, Steve Harvey, Bobby bones and some other retards.

Their show was where I heard first heard about it. Just about when the second plane hit. They were not at all blase nor did they act as if it were a joke.
