Apparently there was a cringeworthy incident several years ago where they showed up at Howard Stern's studio unannounced and he told them to get lost.

ouch that had to smart, not too many bigger egos than those of "on air personalities," although I don't know why

Are those the guys who moved to Dallas and shite all over New Orleans and Louisiana then got run off the air and came crawling back because Louisiana was the only place that would put them on the air?

I haven’t listened to FM, AM or any terrestrial radio in probably 12 or 13 years.. mainly since i lived in Houston and was sick of all the Astros/Texans/Aggies/etc talk on local sports stations.. switched to Sirius XM satellite around 2007 and it’s been a godsend.. there’s like 12 espns/Fox Sports/etc so you get a national perspective, not just local.. plus all the entertainment/comedy/politics (i know that’s redundant) talk stations you could ever want.. and the music channels are pretty good too.

Well I pay for my data plan but not the podcasts, audio books and pandora I listen to. Well I do have pandora premium but that's free through my data plan.

I can afford unlimited data.

Although I haven't had it in years, it's terrific and worth every penny.

It's one of the best places to find new music and some great sports talk.

Remember listening to them on B-97 FM in NOLA back in the early to mid 80's as a kid on the bus. They were just funny then. No politics at all. T

Me too. Grew up in Bellemeade and went to St Cletus back then

Wasn't listening that day, but I do remember that the people I was working with at the time were pretty blase about it until the media barrage told them how important is was.

My reaction was basically, "we're going to overreact to this, and the next 5-10 years are going to suck." Caught some flack... at the time.

W&J went downhill fast when they went to Houston (2002?) and had to work to a Texas audience. They finally started being funny again about 2 years ago.

I was listening that day, and that didn't happen. At first they thought it was an air accident, as everybody else did, but they didn't laugh or were blase about it.
Their show was then pre-empted by a news feed.

Remember riding my bike to see them at an on-site promotion deal at a blockbuster video when I was 14ish. Let’s just say they both had faces for radio.
