That entire three days, my stomach was bad enough that I couldn't eat or take the pain meds.
Ibuprofen/ drugs with it in it does the same thing to me if I take more than a single dose in a row. I found it out the hard way when I had bursitis in my shoulder. One dose on one day is fine, but a regular dose for a few days destroys my stomach for days after.
It is always fun trying to convince a new doctor of that.

Jesus Christ.... Mine would be a broken collar bone as well, but good lord, yours sounds awful.

we were playing manhunt, I was being chased and ran over a dead catfish barefooted at full speed
fin went in the bottom out of my foot and out the side

Spinal tap at age 11.
This. Had one when I was 10. They didn't bother mentioning laying down for a day or so. We walked out of the ER to the car. For the next 5 days, unless I was laying flat on my back or stomach, I was throwing up. Had to crawl to the bathroom.

Same for me.

Torn pectoral coupled with broken collar bone.
Adrenaline was firing. I couldn't feel it.
I reached down to try to flip the race buggy back over... Instead of it coming up, right side of my upper body gave out.
Took every bit of wind out of me and I couldn't think. I couldn't move. Couldn't do anything.
I've compression fractured vertebrae in wrecks, been stabbed in the left forearm, dislocated shoulders, even caught two ricochets to the chest as a dumb kid shooting at a tire. Nothing even comes close to that feeling of my right shoulder just falling.
It felt like it was going to fall to my damned knees.
It hurts just thinking about it.

A total occlusion of the LAD artery in my heart. Broken bones didn’t even approach that level of pain.
This might be a good time to say thanks to the baw in the cath lab at West Houston Medical Center 3 Saturdays ago. Decent chance he reads TD. A Louisiana native named Thibodeaux. Y’all / Dr. Dabaghi did a great job.

I realized that I should go to the hospital but I didn't want to be embarrassed so I went back to the bathroom armed with vaseline, a towel and a spoon. It was ugly. Sweating bullets, shite on my hands mixed with a significant amount of blood and it finally came out. Couldn't flush it. Had to get it out and put it in a bag. I had just given birth to a monster.
Dude, are you being serious? Please say this is an exaggeration.

Two that were very close pain-wise...
1. Fractured L3 and L4 in a vehicle crash
2. Medicine eruption...Doctor gave me a shot to relieve some swelling in my elbow. He also prescribed a couple other medications that APPARENTLY didn't get along with the shot. I started swelling, skin started peeling. I peeled to the point of having flesh bleeding. I swole up to the point that I couldn't bend my arms and couldn't take a full breath. Absolute pain. That's the only time I truly wished I could end it with a bullet.
