West Arcade referred to the place where cigarette smokers could hang out. and smoke, i.e., the hoods. That was the frame of reference.

We had two cliques at my last high school
1. The cookies
2. The crumbs
It was a small school (my senior class was like 36 or 37 total) so everyone was in one group or another. I was an oddity though because I had friends in both groups.
