What were the golden days of Tiger Droppings?

I've been posting since the beginning of 2005 and lurked for awhile before that.
To me, it seems like from maybe 2004 through late 2008 were the best. Things started going a bit down in 2008-2009, first on the Rant and then overall.
I do think that the addition of different boards has been a positive development. Some boards I like, such as the M/TV boards stay (mostly) free of the stuff that drags down other boards.

Saban to Bama was the catalyst. A LOT of Bama posters signed up, and (unbeknownst to anyone at the time), this prompted the general growth and expansion of tigerdroppings beyond just an LSU community. They got new posters, new boards, improvement of old boards, more ad money, more posting activity, etc. etc. etc. It is more difficult to say when the golden age was over, but I think it was definitely over by 2014-15, at least for LSU posters who were kind of fed up with LSU football in general.

I’ve been here since 2007 and I think I could make the argument that right now is the golden days.

I started lurking around 2011 and enjoyed the site. Plenty of actual funny stuff on the OT. Arse thread titles are my favorite. Now I just see it as a bunch of posters try to stay "cool" by saying dumb as frick sayings like "I've seen better in the quad." Things are always trashy and it's always a race to have the cool saying to get all the upvotes. I've enjoyed the other boards because the OT sucks besides a few posters.
