Upperclassman at LSU. Milking the good times knowing it would end before too long. Great crazy times.

Same house, same job, same wife.* One thing that has improved since then is the quality of my favorite form of entertainment - watching Saints and LSU football. Who would have thought in 1996 that in the next 24 years I would be in the stadium watching my favorite teams win a Super Bowl and three National Championships?

* EDIT - All good by the way.

I was in college living with 2 friends. We didn't have a care in the world. Grilling, drinking going out to the bars. Friday was happy hour 5 bucks all you could drink, draft natty light, well drinks and nachos hot dogs etc from 4-8. Then we would head across the street for nickel draws from 10-12. Some of the best times of my life.

Dallas.

Getting a Tag for being with my company since 1986.

Goal around then was to get out of sales. Took another 14 years, a quadruple bypass, and a crippling blood clot, for that to happen.

Lots of enjoyable days and nights following sports in 1996!

Watched Juan Gonzales, Pudge Rodriguez, Rusty Greer, Dean Palmer, Mark McLemore, Will Clark and a pitching staff composed of guys like Ken Hill, Bobby Witt, Roger Pavlik, Darrin Oliver and Mike Henneman lead the Johnny Oates managed Rangers to their first ever playoff berth. The rest of the bats were silent against the Yankees, but Gonzales batted 438 with five home runs and nine RBI.

Got to see Brett Favre win a Super Bowl after that season.

Got to see Jordan come back, and average 30 points a game as the Bulls won their fourth championship that June.

Got to see those Russian led Red Wings win the first of four Stanley Cup Finals over the next 11 years with their manager Scotty Bowman. They did all of that while they were in the middle of relationships with minors like Anna Kournikova.

I got to hear the Florida players reply, "They haven't won an SEC Championship" when asked about FSU and Miami having recently won Nattys. Then they whipped FSU 52-20. That was definitely when the rest of College Football had to start thinking what we'd been telling them for years was true. The SEC might just play the best football in the country.

Kentucky was playing in the second of three consecutive National Championship Games in Hoops under Pitino.

That's also the year Warren Morris hit the game winning home run against Miami to give LSU their third of four Natty's in the 90's.

I was living wherever the USMC told me to live!

I was training to be a Marine and a military policeman.

I thought I would spend 4 years in the Corps and then become a state trooper.
