Her parents looked into all that and all the girls pretty much watch the same stuff. Its really just girly shite about make up, clothes and gossip. She was such a pretty girl too and it really seemed to come out of know where at puberty.
A year ago I was where most of you all are on this subject but this case hit close to home. So I tried to be open minded and learn what I can. Generally speaking I think hormone therapy and surgery on minors is a bad idea but I'm finding difficult to support bans on it. There are reported positive and negative outcomes. If a child is suffering from extreme gender dysphoria and going through puberty would be traumatic and has lead to suicide do we deny the parents the right to decide what is best? IDK honestly. I go back and forth

Why isn’t it common practice to affirm the belief of the 17 year old I saw the other day who truly believes he is Jesus Christ? Why is that treated with counseling and therapy, but this is “treated” with surgery and hormone replacement? He meant no one any harm and wasn’t a threat.
This is the only situation in the history of psychiatric medicine where a delusion/rejection of reality is treated with affirmation.

Its not so much that she is dressing like male more as she does not dress like a girl if that makes sense. She mostly wears jeans and hoodies, no make up and short hair. My youngest one does the same and she kinda thinks of herself as a tomboy but she realizes there is a difference between the two. I think a lot of kids are getting confused.
