No those 3 states have the worst traffic along with La..during rush hour traffic. But to say its outdated isnt true. All three are constantly growing with construction going on all the time. If I had to chose the one I had driving through or getting around that would be Dallas. Holyshit, even with GPS that place is a nightmare to navigate if your not glued to the screen. Super nice area and booming economy just like Houston but I wouldn't live there to save my life.
Houston reminds me of a gigantic NOLA on steroids from back in the day. There's shite tons of things to do, places to go, eat and hang out. Tons of pro sports etc. Alot of buddy's live there as well as some of my family. They love Houston

2 & 3 are definitely Alabama.

Lexington has been terrible for a long time. It has outgrown the already poorly implemented infrastructure and the liberal rot is really taking hold in the city.

The last time I went to the farmers market downtown, a man in a miniskirt had his balls hanging out on display for everyone, which basically sums up this city.

Homeless a-holes and panhandling at every corner of every intersection in town.

Yup. Lexington is getting worse every year, but the surrounding towns are even trashier than Lexington. My parents live here; I have a good job and community, but I swear, Lexington is rotting with the quickness. The City Leadership is rotten to the core, but what else is new? Police do not enforce rules in Lexington, but if you're in Georgetown/Scott County, prepare to get pulled over randomly.

The Leestown Road Double-Diamond Crossover is going to be completed in 2031; The widening of New Circle between Leestown and Newtown will take at least eight years. I cannot wait to see the trainwreck that is E Brannon Road (have fun expanding that road); they have cut down all the trees to Clays Mill Extended - looks awful.

The Fayette County School system was a joke when I graduated from Lafayette 20 years ago (but hey, Chuck Smith and the band "won" state 14 years in a row!). It's much worse now. I went to Elementary and middle school in Hawaii/California - it's even worse there. The Education system needs an overhaul, but that's not isolated to FCPS. Our Superintendent was grossly overpaid.

Got harassed by a panhandler this morning. Like I said, Lexington gets trashier every year.

1. The Worst Drivers- Slow/Incompetent

- Georgia, or at least whatever the hell is going on around Atlanta. Not slow, but just awful driving. Lots of Altimas and Chargers there.


2. The Most outdated/poorly designed Infrastructure (like having MULTIPLE "Expressways" being fully accessible with stoplights, excessive two-lane roads with no turn lanes/passing lanes)

- Pennsylvania, easily.


3. The most outdated Traffic Engineering (Stoplight Synchronization is from the 1980's - It's routine to hit 3+ consecutive red lights on the "Primary Road"; many stoplights are based on a timer)

- Pennsylvania, again easily


4. All Construction Projects taking at least four times as long as any other state

- Pennsylvania again for the win. It's legislated in. Look at the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. It was formed to build the turnpike in the 1950's and is chartered to expire the commission once it becomes solvent. every time they've come close they take a multi-billion dollar loan and start new projects, meaning that now the PA turnpike has been under constant construction since the late 1950's.


5. A major city with almost no winter preparation (Main Roads not cleared off for five days after a snow storm)

- Pennsylvania again. Pittsburgh went three weeks without clearing roads during the last major snowstorm. My neighborhood used to get together an shovel the streets because the city and state wouldn't do it when I lived there. Just one of the many reasons I moved away.

2. Sounds like you're going on about Louisville. In Lexington, having lights on New Circle is because that northern half was built when it was built. It was all part of the city already. The southern half was built much later and has no lights. As for the two lane roads....I guess it depends on what stretch you're going on about. Most of the countryside here has dotted lines on the two lane backwoods country roads where it's safe to pass. It doesn't where the roads are hilly and curvy. Common sense.

Did you forget what happened in January, or on March 17, for that matter? Why were all the surrounding counties more timely in clearing off roads than Fayette County? That has ZERO to do with taxes, but with the lack of PREPARATION (see original point).

I can tell you this…I have never seen a state have more interstate closures than Louisiana.

This past Sunday on the way to Lafayette…an 18 wheeler hauling palm trees ran off the road near going westbound near Scott and the cab of the tractor was crushed; all westbound lanes closed.

Heading home to Houston the same afternoon all eastbound lanes of traffic outside of Iowa were closed due to a roll over accident that required a life flight.

Truth. Even Cincinnati traffic can be blamed on Northern Kentucky (I-75 ALWAYS backs up in Florence going towards the bridge). Once I get into Ohio, traffic is usually a breeze until I get to MM 10 on I-71 going towards Columbus. At least you guys have I-275 in Cincy, I-270, 670 in Columbus, and I-480, 490 in Cleveland. What does Kentucky have? Louisville does have I-264 and I-265, tbf. Now Ohio drivers love to camp in the left lane. Seriously.
