Usually renovations happen at my house when something breaks. The shower pan in one of the bathrooms rusted, so I redid both bathrooms.
The old patio cover was kind of shitty and started leaking, so I installed a larger aluminum patio cover.
I wanted to repaint the living room and hallway, but when I started sanding the door trim and baseboards, I realized that the last person to paint didn't prepare the surfaces correctly; all the paint was just flaking off. So now I'm in the process of manually stripping all of the trim for repainting.
Next renovation will be stripping and repainting all of the aluminum siding (fascia, soffits, etc.).
It never ends.

No. I teach people how to jitterbug on the weekends. They were students. Not very good ones, either.

I cut my back roof off and added a 3rd story (attic conversion). Still need to finish the interior out but then I bought an old duplex for rental property and have gutted the kitchens and bathrooms and re-done them plus a bunch of smaller stuff.....like re-wiring the upstairs unit.

What renovations have you baws done to your house?
I completely renovated my 1947 rental house from the floors up to the ceiling and everything outside. And, some work below the floors including complete removal of one of the bathroom's floors and installed new floor...subfloor included. Pulled up all old carpet and resurfaced all original hardwood floors throughout house. Complete reno...refaced kitchen cabinets, plumbing fixtures, back splash, added trim and moldings to rooms, light fixtures, paint, ceiling fans, etc, etc. All work was done by me and my wife.
We live in a older contemporary home and we're always updating it. Popcorn ceiling removal, lights, fans, exterior paint, exterior clay stain removal from brick (total bitch), laid sod...twice, fence staining, landscaping...always something to do. We don't mind though.

What is estimated cost of about 22 linear feet of quartz counter tops and a new bigger farmhouse style sink?

What did you use to srtip the paint fom the trim? Or do you just manually sand it down as close to the original as possible?
So far we have upgraded our trim in very room we have touched, but when we go to upgrade one of the spare bathrooms the wife wants to salvage the current trim.
