That map might be the greatest thing I’ve ever seen on this board

Only thing bad about downtown are the homeless. One of them took the biggest shite I’ve ever seen next to my car. Was honestly kinda fascinating. Had no idea a human could poo so big

Anyone who says Houston sucks is just a fricking pussy.

It’s a city of mercenaries, yes. People are here to make money, and as such, there are plenty of places for people to spend that money.

Stick to River Oaks/Upper Kirby/Montrose, Rice Village/West U/Museum District, and The Heights.

Everything outside of that isn’t worth your time as a visitor.

It’s the fourth largest city in the country, which means it has fourth largest city problems. Just don’t be stupid and make yourself look a target.

It's pretty damn accurate, just a little dated. It's got us up in Kingwood as still pizzed about being annexed but over half of the people here now probably have no clue that even happened. What makes Houston interesting is the total diversity from one part to the next. Going down to the Galleria is almost a culture shock from someone in the burbs and probably vice versa. There is a total different mindset from someone living in League City versus someone that lives in Katy. And honestly if you get bored here, you are an incredibly dull person.

Nice map. In-laws in Kingwood are still pretty salty about the annexation. It's akin to NOLA annexing Mandeville. Blows my mind that it takes an hour on a good day to drive from their place to my brother's place in SW Houston at interstate speed, without leaving city limits.

Blood brothers in bellaire for BBQ with Asian flare.

Kenny and Ziggys for a somewhat fancy NY Deli with huge deserts.

Avoid the Third and Fifth Wards and you’ll be fine. That said, literally no reason to go to those areas in the first place. If staying in central Houston you are fine. This ain’t Louisiana
