I don’t work all week just to come home and listen to Braxton ride his 4 wheeler up and down the street. Go to the F’ing woods

Grew up in the country. Rode them all over up and down roads but it is against the law.

We might have hit a few pipelines when we saw a parish cop out in BFE

And when some 8-10 year old flips it into a drainage ditch, the HOA will get sued. Same with the golf carts.

Sorry if I offend you, but you are not exhibiting good parenting letting a kid (a minor, under 18) ride an ATV on a paved road. As noted earlier in the thread, ATV's aren't designed to handle well on pavement.

The good thing out of this thread for you is if you heed the advice here, it could save your kid from injury and/or you a shiteload of money if something were to go wrong. Your insurance company will not cover you if you / your family is breaking the law and an accident happens.

I live out in the country on a farm and have about two miles of trails. The kids (and the cousins when they visit) have spent hours upon hours on the two ATV's I have. BUT, they must ride with helmets AND I have them throttled to 15 MPH and no pavement. They can still have fun with all the mudholes and twists/turns. And none of fhem have ever crashed. Now my boys are older and don't care about riding anymore. But they made it past that risky age and understand how to ride safely.

Don't let him ride on the road.

Man back in the day my brother and his friends used to ride dirt bikes around the neighborhood. There was this old bitch who lived across the street who would call the cops on anyone over anything.

One day him and one of his friends were riding them in and out of this big ditch they used to be down the road from where we lived. That old bitch called the cops when they passed by her house to go to the ditch and the cops ended up taking both of their bikes. They eventually got them back, but it took a few months.

That night my brother snuck out the house (we shared rooms) and then the next morning the cops were back at that woman's house because someone egged the piss out of her house, I am pretty sure my brother and his friend did it, but he denied, denied, denied.

This.... or the best kid in the neighborhood gets scarred for life because the "kid just being a kid" cuts in front of her two weeks after she got her license and he gets smushed....

We used to ride three wheelers all day in my neighborhood. Great childhood memories. Dude down there road called the cops on us. All the Dads went to his house . Thought they were going to lench-mob that guy.
I still fire up my dirt bike and ride the hood sometimes. People need to relax. Big city could be a problem I guess, but your average suburban neighborhood should be fine.

To the OP, riding 4 wheeler on public streets is illegal and you don't want it enforced.

Can you make a list of other illegal activities you don't want enforced.

On a side note google teen accidents and deaths on 4 wheelers.

Folks drive golf carts on the road in my neighborhood all the time

If I couldn't ride my go cart 28 years ago as a 10 year old kid in my neighborhood, then kids these days shouldn't be able to ride their 4 wheeler. It is what it is.

Kids have no business riding a 4 wheeler in the road. That’s some Livingston parish shite.

The best part is that absolutely no one gives a shite if it’s a golf cart. But the second a 4 wheeler or buggy God forbid

I drive my 4 wheeler and side by side on the crappy gravel section line roads around my place. I will drive both and my tractor down to the gas station that's at the intersection of my county road and the highway. No big deal.

But on a paved street? Nah. I'm not trying to bother anybody.

Heck, when people aren't over at my place, I keep my 4 wheeler parked right on the side of my house so I can take 3 steps from my porch and hop on.

That’s a different “they”. Are the NOLA police arresting white people for driving ATVs on public roadways?

Hell, if I was a cop I would not stop a black person. The next thing you know you’d be the one in jail.
