Having to wake up everyday and put on paint then head to the FQ and set up to sit still for hours per day while people try to get you to move makes me think your life didn't go exactly as you had planned.

The paint on your skin everyday cant be healthy.

I will give them this. At least they are doing something and not just being bums begging on a corner.

So they aren't the lowest form of scum.

I had this very conversation with a buddy Sunday as we were leaving Lafitte's. The silver guy and the gold guy were side by side and I thought "that is just regular old spray paint they are putting all over their skin and hair." frick me, how do you get to that point?

Report: After guilty plea in Florida murder, 'Uncle Louie' returns to the French Quarter
Miller, nicknamed "Uncle Louie," had become a fixture in the world of street performers when he was arrested in a 1974 Florida cold case.

quote:

Miller pleaded guilty to shooting 34-year-old Freddie Farah at his Jacksonville food store in 1974, but went free after a deal that involved admitting guilt and answering the family's gnawing questions was worked out. Miller was 17-years-old at the time.

In exchange for his guilty plea, Miller, 61, was sentenced to the time he's already served in jail -- 344 days. Miller was released after the hearing, according to the Florida Times-Union.

Miller, who for more than 20 years has been performing in the Quarter in an Uncle Sam suit, was arrested May 16, 2017, by New Orleans police.

He's back on the streets!

I did it in 2005 for fun, I made the equivalent of $350 an hour.

So I did it about a month and was able to put a great down payment on a 1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT.

It is usually kids or teenagers doing this shite. I wouldn't say a kid trying to make some money a "lowest form".

Go to old Vegas and see what people are doing on Fremont St. Who the frick are you to judge people? Seriously, you never know what lead people do where they at. And you can only assume the people who do the living statue are poor people who have no other option. It might be someone who enjoys doing it, for whatever reason.
