I'll do it maybe once or twice a week. I don't think it's a big deal as long as it isn't having a negative effect on your life.

Its funny, you never talk about how staying sober at the house has a negative effect on people and relationships.... only when one gets drunk do we then discuss negative effects.

Depends on the study. Some studies will say that if you drank a whole bottle of wine by yourself once in the past year, you might be a raging alcoholic (These are usually the studies behind the "alcoholism is rampant in the US" headlines that pop up occasionally on CNN)
I say, if you spread it out over a few hours, never actually get "drunk", and wake up feeling fine, have at it! (Although, my girlfriend tends to get borderline drunk at glass number 3 if she tries it).

This. Wine has a variety of alcohol content. Cabernet at your grocery store is about 13.5%. I was putting down nearly two bottles a night of Cabernet up until about 5 months ago but have slowed down significantly since I felt it in my wallet and struggles in the morning. Glass or two now and off the bed. A full bottle on Friday night only.

Completely normal. Wine down Wednesday was a tradition in college.

I'll sometimes do 1/2 bottle on a school night, but usually just a glass or 2.
