What is your favorite tree?

This is my top 5:
1. Banyan Tree - Wish they would grow in Louisiana, although the roots spread and will mess up a slab if planted too close.
2. Live Oak - The ones by LSU and Audubon park are beautiful.
3. Crepe Myrtle - Lots of people dont like them because once planted they are near impossible to kill, but I think they are pretty, especially the trunks.
4. Japanese Plum (Loquat) - Have a couple of these, large dark green leaves that stay green year round, nice fruit.
5. Banana Tree- I don't think these are actually classified as trees but I love the giant leaves and they make my favorite fruit.

In no particular order:
White oak, magnolia, japanese maple, bonzai, dogwood, and Fraser Fir (decorated for Christmas).
Honorable mention the peach trees at my parents house because they grow amazing peaches.

A plain ol Pecan.
Second is the Royal Empress because of how quick it grows and the beauty.
Then, the Dogwood. Nothing better than driving on country roads in spring and seeing the white blossoms randomly scattered.

I'll also add a couple of my least favorite.
1. Chinese Tallow - invasive, fast growing, wood literally smells like dog crap
2. Pine Tree - I know that we get most of our lumber and pulp for making paper from these, but they are ugly and make a mess.

I have 6 big banyans around my land here in Palm Beach County. They’re awesome and my kids loved climbing them when they were little.
