Levi’s 501 button flys when I was single in the 90’s. A girl could pull them open with her teeth.

90's Levi's?

I had some from middle school I was still wearing after I got married.

The new Levi's have stretch crap in most of them... Some companies make copies, so I might look into that when I need new jeans in the 2030's.

Wranglers. Only thing I don’t like is the pockets get holes wore into them easily.

I had a few pair of 80's Levis that lasted 10-15 years. Dem days...
Also I remember going into any store that sold Levis and buying them without trying them on. Perfect fit. Now I'm lucky to find one pair that fits out of five.

Those 7th grade girls didn’t know what hit them when I rolled up first day of school in my Tommy Hilfiger’s.

Levi’s still makes good jeans but you have to pay way more than you should for a pair of jeans

Back when I was 17 and 18 only Wranglers would fit me. The only ones with enough room for my thighs.

I noticed they did that with some of the athletic fit styles. They're ok, the fit seems to stretch way too much for my tastes. At least the 501s are still the same. Also have a few pairs of Lucky jeans. I actually like the fit better with that brand.

I just bought a pair of 501s and they have the stretch in them. It’s barely noticeable though. Certainly not as much stretch as the Lucky jeans I have. I’ve worn those maybe 5 times in the 5 or 6 years I’ve had them.

501s used to just be 501s but now they are more like a subbrand. Some of the 501s have low (1% elastane) stretch for the last 4-5 years but you can still get rigid denim in 501s. Last year the Levi's site dumped 501 original fit selvedge for $25 a pair (normally about $150) I bought the last 5 pair they had in my size which will be a lifetime supply since I do wear jeans near as much as I used to.

Back in the 70s and 80s the best jeans I had were made by Lee. Tough as nails.
