My opinion would be it has to be a police officer. These men and women never know what situations they’re going to face on a day to day basis, or if they’ll even make it home alive to their families.

Yes, but the location matters. Being a city cop in Detroit is not the same as being a cop in some small town in Vermont.

Air traffic controller is a very difficult job at just about any airport. Retail management is very tough for any store larger than a mom and pop shop.

Roofing.
When I did roofing in the summer, this was the schedule. Start at daylight. Work until Noon. Go back around 6 pm, and work til 9 pm. It was just me and the owner who was in his 60's. I had to carry both of our shingles up the ladder.

I still think hauling hay was worse.

The cops/sherrifs in my area seem so bored that they have taken to sitting in my rural town (population 700) twice a week during lunch…pulling over working people who aren’t wearing seatbelts.

Roofing.

Takes a ton of work ethic and definitely hard. There wouldn't be many roofs getting put on if it were up to anybody but Hispanics and South Americans. You ain't going to find any white or black roofers.

But the OP had stressful in there so I'd take roofing out. It is mindless work.

Investment Banking sucks. 70-80 hours weeks. Toxic bosses that treat you like shite. Analysts and associates have to pull all nighters once a month. Meaning you will not sleep the entirety of a full night on every month. You're on call at any time. No time is safe. Could be Friday at 11 pm. They're paid well, but between hours, uncertainty of work at any time, bosses making you feel like birdshit on their shoes, it sucks
