Gluttony.

But mostly being big-boned.

BMI 32.71 checking in.
35.0 was my upper limit, however.

I read this, quite a bit here, but I'm 5'9" 150, and I can't remember anyone ever commenting on my size. I feel pretty normal. I even read that was the average height and weight of guys that enlisted in ww2. Who are these people commenting on your weight all the time?

I quit eating breakfast for a couple weeks and the pounds dropped off.
Now I just try to eat less at breakfast to keep it off.

If I fail to eat breakfast I feel like shite.

Eating a "full meal" at breakfast is what fricks a lot of people up when it comes to weight gain/trouble with weight loss. When people see what I'll routinely eat for a single meal, they always ask how I stay thin. My answer is simple: "I don't eat breakfast and I don't snack during the day. So yep, I just put down 1,000 calories in a single sitting. But I'll probably still be full come dinner, so I doubt I'll eat as much as I just did. Which means I'm going to easily come in at or under 2,000 calories for the day."

If you're trying to lose weight, or just keep weight off, you simply can't outrun a bad diet.

It used to be hypothyroidism. Once that was diagnosed and treated, I lost weight without really trying.

I was overweight about twelve years ago. I was thirty pounds over weight. I felt miserable and even tried that Slim Fast diet. That particular diet was a waste of time. My neighbor belonged to Weight Watchers and she wanted me to go to a meeting with her. I had the stupid idea that only women went to Weight Watchers so I kept on telling her that I didn't want to go. I finally broke down and went to a meeting with her. They had many men at the meeting. The speaker was very entertaining. When the meeting was over I went home. I started to think what the woman at the meeting said. What she said made a lot of sense to me. I went to the next meeting and I joined WW. The WW plan is definitely not a diet. You can eat candy and ice cream and pizza. You can eat the foods that you like but you have to modify them. I shed all of the pounds off. I no longer belong to WW but I definitely follow the plan that I learned when I was a member. I've kept the weight off and I learned an important lesson. I learned to never eat large amounts of fat free and sugar free food. I once ate a large amount of sugar free chocolate. Late that night my neighbor had to bring me to the hospital. I thought that I had food poisoning. I had the runs all day and night. The doctor told me the cause of my illness. I over ate my bag of sugar free candy. I lost six pounds that day.
