South Island, New Zealand and Yosemite are up there for me.

You aren't living in a shabby place yourself. I took this picture in Sept. 2014 with my cell phone. I loved that area.

Grand Canyon. So magnificent. No pictures do it any justice

It really is breath taking. First 5 minutes you actually see it you are just stunned into silence.

It ain't terrible. I do like that I can be in Tahoe, Carmel/Big Sur, Yosemite, Russian River, Napa, Mendocino all within 3-4 hours. Or Fresno. LOL

Either Idaho or louisiana swampland.

There's a tragic beauty to 50% of things rotting while the other 50% is greenery seemingly at war with one another.

My friend supposedly took this pic in a LA swamp. I think its pretty cool.

I'll never forget walking up the hill and seeing it for the first time as I got to the top of the hill. I've never experienced that feeling before and I doubt that I ever will again. I'm was speechless and overwhelmed. I never had the urge to go to the GC in my life, but we decided to stop for a few hours on our way to Vegas a few years ago. I can't wait to go back out west and devote a week to the GC alone.

For those saying Zion NP, how did you get there? I guess including your start point is important too. I made a 24 hour road trip to backpack in CO last summer and it was awesome but the drive was hard

You can fly into Vegas - it's only a 2 1/2 hour or so drive from there. If you can find a cheap-ish flight to St. George, UT, that'd be even better. St. George is a nice little town, but as I am sure you can imagine, very Mormon. It makes Provo look positively diverse and wild.

Tough to name just one. For me it's between Zermatt (Switzerland), the Amalfi Coast (Italy), and Yosemite.
