Lavazza Classico or Illy Classico.
Free parking behind the Law School and at University High but get there well ahead, even more so considering this will be a big game. IMO I would be parked at the Law School by 8 to be safe, more leeway for U-High but don’t push it. Mosey over to Louie’s for breakfast. In case you haven’t heard, the Union is no longer open on game days.

Haven't seen him mentioned, but Senator Russell Long was a BIG deal back in the day.

Consider flying in and out of Sacramento, particularly if you decide on Tahoe for part two of your trip. Gas station very near rental car return is another plus.

Between Yosemite and Tahoe (if you stay west of the mountains): Big Trees State Park in Calaveras has sequoias, Jamestown State Historic Park is nice, both are close to the route to Tahoe.

Again assuming Tahoe: Go out the east side of Yosemite over the Tioga Pass to Lee Vining. Mono Lake and the tufa towers are worth seeing. A jaunt south from there is Mammoth Lakes (never been). North from Lee Vining is Bodie State Historic Park (old mining ghost town), well worth a multi-hour visit IMO.

Check out the Yosemite website. Glacier Point road is being worked on. Road is closed this year, don’t know about next year, Yosemite infamous for taking much longer than advertised on projects. Read up on access to Mariposa Grove. Everything has changed since years past, don’t think there is parking there, no more open shuttle tours through the grove, shuttle to grove from south entrance but limited parking at south entrance is what I read.

You may need a pass to get into Yosemite if you don’t have lodging in the valley. That was the case in recent years, don’t know about 2022. Be sure to check on this in 2023.

If you do decide to stay in the valley, Ahwanee (sp) would cost a fortune, consider having lunch there but reservation needed, permanent tents in Curry Village are fun (well, funish, done that 3 times as an adult), wouldn’t recommend House Keeping camp,
Yosemite Lodge another option, loved staying at Wawona a few years ago but not convenient to valley attractions.

I liked the first Archer book enough to read the second. I enjoyed Archer’s back story and had hopes for a decent series but found the second one WAY too 40s pulp fiction and noir for my tastes. YMMV of course.

Liked the Atlee Pine series. Disliked the Archer books. As someone posted, too sappy. Read the first two, will not read the 3rd one.

That sounds easy (assuming I pay attention to the lane to use). Thank you.

May actually try to pick one up along the way, too late for online as I'm leaving in the morning. Called my local AAA office but they don't carry them.

What is your route to and from?
I looked at a bunch of routes and tried to come up with places I hadn't passed through before. I'm taking 3 days to get there but only 2.5 to return (with a visit in Norfolk in between).

Tuesday Shreveport to Nashville
Wednesday Nashville to Charleston WV
Thursday Charleston to DC
--
Sunday afternoon Norfolk to Greensboro NC
Monday Greensboro to Huntsville AL
Tuesday Huntsville to Shreveport
I'm going to be driving to DC in a couple of days. In looking at my route I see that I'll probably be on some toll roads in NC, VA, and WV. I don't have an E-ZPass, wish I had decided on my route earlier. Is it possible to pick one up along my way? My route going up passes through WV and VA, won't hit NC until heading back. If I don't have one does anyone know about tolls in those states? Should I just stock up on rolls of quarters? TIA!

If you’re in Italy there is the Monte Casino Commonwealth War Cemetery in the valley below the rebuilt Monte Casino Monastery. There is also a Polish Monte Casino War Cemetery in the area.

Do you guys vacuum seal your ammo reserves?
I haven't done so but back in the 90s I did receive vacuum sealed ammo I purchased on Gunbroker. It wasn't in boxes but was in styrofoam inserts, I assume to keep the cartridges from rattling around during shipping.

I believe tire dealers can shave a new tire so that the tread depth matches the other 3 tires.
