I mean I get the goal is to slow the spread since schools are breeding grounds for everything, but what are people supposed to do?

There will now be a bunch of docs and nurses staying home to take care of their kids instead of treating sick people. That, or the grandparents will be watching the kids all day, which means we are exposing those most vulnerable to this virus to those who carry it with no symptoms.

There is absolutely no way that anyone has done the math (accurately) to be sure we aren't causing more harm than good. And we won't even get into all the lost wages and the nightmare that will create.

Doing two weeks is one thing. But a month is insane.

Leaders react to public pressure. The public by and large are idiots and pressure the leaders into doing stupid things.

If we were that logical we'd turn schools into kid quarantine zones.

Obviously it's because there is a need for as many nurses and doctors as possible to work to help support the victims of this mass killer, and with their kids out of school for a month, they are now able to go to work more....no that's not right.

Find a babysitter. 20+ kids packed in a small classroom breathing and coughing all over each other for 8 hours a day. Yeah that will spread like wildfire.

Kids carry all the colds and viruses us adults catch. Luckily they seem to fight off this wuhan virus easily.

ETA: I will say until April 14th seems excessive. Here in Georgia it’s 2 weeks.

These retards aren't applying logic to any of these panicked reactions.

OT trigger warning. These people are all-in on these very normal precautionary measures.

Easy:

People your kids interact with by going to school >>> people your kids interact with while staying home

More people have been told they were melting by your dumb arse than those who have contracted coronavirus.

I understand being laughed at makes you sad, but you're going to have to deal with it. That's your lot in life.
