You’re right, but point remains.

Laugh all you want, but at worst, he's the best heel of his generation. IMO, he's the best ever after Naitch.

He had the wrong kind of heat. People hated him because he was a sexually transmitted nepo baby. He's still doing his redemption tour.

Back in the 70's at the Olympic in L.A. Piper came into the ring with his bagpipes before Chavo Guerrero was going to defend the Americas' Title.

Piper announces that in honor of Chavo he was going to play the Mexican National Anthem on his bagpipes and wanted everyone to stand during the national anthem.

He then plays "La Cucaracha."

In WWE? Wouldn't it be Michaels beating on janetty at the barber shop?

HHH. Aside from Flair, he's the greatest heel in the history of the business.

Ridiculous. I can think of several just off the top of my head that I’d rate ahead of HHH:

Buddy Rogers
Gorgeous George
Hulk Hogan
Harley Race
Nick Bockwinkel
Gene Kiniski
The Destroyer
Wild Bill Longson
Killer Kowalski
Freddie Blassie
The Sheik
Johnny Valentine
Dick the Bruiser
Roddy Piper (arguably)

Gorgeous George was the original heel but if you're looking at everything under the WWE bubble now and impact on the business, it's Hulk Hogan. His WWWF career started with him as a heel, he played the villain in Rocky 3, and he had what is still the biggest heel turn in wrestling history by joining the NWO. I think you could also argue that the double turn with The Rock played a bit of a part in how the Cena turn went down. I would put McMahon right up there with those two. Cena still has a long way to go until he breaks into that top 3.

What’s funny about Dibiase is that as great as the Million Dollar Man was, his heel run in Mid South was even better!

Not WWE, but the Freebirds got major heat everywhere. They were the top heel act in Mid-South when it was at its hottest. They were the top heel actin World Class when it was at its hottest. They were also super hated in the top act in Georgia, Florida, and Memphis.

They were drawing sell out crowds in all the major territories.

That’s why I loved him, he was a heel but he was incredibly smart and funny.
If you have never seen “They live “ watch it. It maybe more relevant than we think

It was even better than that. He had gotten a bunch of heat in the weeks leading up to that night by just shitting on the Mexican people/country every chance he got. They legitimately hated him for it. He feigned a change of heart and went on and on about apologizing for his behavior. The playing of their "national anthem" was to show how sorry he was. When the first few notes of "La Cucaracha" rang out the place exploded in boos. It was one of the best pure heel moves in wrestling.

The messed up part was the Jake lost control of the snake and couldn't get it to release until well over the time it was supposed to. Andre was legit afraid of snakes so Jake has to be careful with what he did during that feud. I remember watching WM2 with him against George Wells and being freaking out by how the snake was making his foam at the mouth.
