You can get it here out west and when I lived in Georgia, you could get it at most places.

I'd say probably not but I'm not involved with many weddings at all. I've probably only been to 5-6 weddings in my entire life.

I went to the store Sunday. A dozen eggs was $8.99

In the shelf above a dozen brown eggs was $4.99.

I bought the brown eggs…..

Well then I guess this is a nothing burger for you.
Some people only drive 10 miles a day so gas prices aren’t a concern for them.

We eat eggs for breakfast every morning and use lots of them in baking. I just bought a case of 60 eggs and it was 30 bucks..they are usually half that price.

Eggs have always been the cheapest source of protein. You could get a dozen for under 1.65. Now they are 8.50 a dozen. That's a huge price increase on a cheap and very healthy staple food.

Back during my poor days I'd take egg sandwiches for lunch at work. It worked out to like 15 cents for my lunch.

I wfh and have only put about 2k miles on the car in about 2 years. We live about a mile from downtown, so everything like doctors, stores and all that are within a mile or less from home.

For driving vacations (once or twice a year) we just rent a very nice car.

Sounds like we might be more unorthodox than I ever thought.

No. I get all of my exercise hiking and working in the yard year round.

Since the price of brown is comparable to cheap eggs, everywhere is sold out of brown eggs.

Damn I forgot how much difference there is in yolk quality. Those cheap eggs have pale yellow flavorless yolks. Brown eggs are dark orange and delicious.

Google says the average American adult eats 281 eggs a year.

I think I eat a lot of eggs and I'm nowhere close to 281/year. Maybe that estimate includes all items prepared with eggs.

Yes.

And pancakes, waffles, bread, and biscuits.

Bunny white bread and Pepperidge Farms Jewish Rye . Walmart has a pancake/waffle mix. Pillsbury Biscuits. You can get fresh baked cakes at Whole Foods. No eggs

It almost certainly does, when they say "the average adult eats X number of teaspoons of sugar a year" they aren't counting only what people eat with a spoon from a 10 pound bag.

Do people really eat that many eggs?

Eggs are in almost every breaded product. An increase in the price of eggs affected almost everything that is baked.

It’s about politics, not the eggs.

I don't think they're in a loaf of bread. I don't eat much other kind of bread though I think I did have some cornbread a couple of years ago.
