After Biden slaughtered all those chickens the prices went up and Dems as usual blame someone other than themselves, but egg prices have recently started to drop.

quote:

IT HAS HAPPENED:

Egg prices are now *LOWER* than they were when Donald J. Trump assumed office.

Pre-Jan. 20, 2025: $6.12/dozen

March 10, 2025: $6.08/dozen

Promise DELIVERED.

And Trump's strategy hasn't even had time to work fully yet.

quote:

Despite Joe Biden killing 166 million chickens before leaving office, the price of eggs is now cheaper than when Trump took office. - @RepMikeCollins

That's what I've heard. They're dropping a bit. Just never knew they were that big of a deal .... as an indicator of how well the economy was doing or not doing.

If you are working to transform yourself into a Champion, try drinking some before your workout.

It is incredibly fast and efficient, but the price is making this less appealing. You also might want to get your cholesterol levels checked before you start consuming this many.

Great thing about living in the country is there are plenty of people around to sell you eggs for 3 bucks.

Since Jan 20th with eggs it’s politics. Some still harping on it as price drops below what it was when Presidency officially transferred from Biden to Trump. Dems know when and why price increase started but are in panic mode throwing out any negative they can and hope it sticks. They were completely unprepared for speed and scope of DOGE and for the rank & file Dems the speed of turning around their open borders (those who believed Biden saying nothing could be done). They can’t keep up which is why they are likely going to be hypocrites and try to filibuster the CR to continue funding the govt to force a partial govt shutdown.

quote:

House Republicans passed a federal funding bill backed by President Donald Trump largely on their own Tuesday.

It also marked one of the rare occasions in recent memory that a majority of House Democrats voted against a bill that would prevent a government shutdown.

The bill passed largely along partisan lines in a 217 to 213 vote. Just one Republican, Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., voted against the bill. One lone Democrat, Rep. Jared Golden, D-Maine, joined the rest of the GOP in advancing it.

… The measure, a short-term extension of fiscal year (FY) 2024 funding known as a continuing resolution (CR), will now head to the Senate. It must pass there and get to Trump's desk before the end of Friday, March 14, to avert a partial shutdown.

… And despite passing the House, the legislation could still see an uphill climb in the Senate. At least one Republican there, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., has already rejected the bill.

Republicans will likely need the help of as many as eight Democrats to meet the upper chamber's 60-vote threshold.

The bill includes an additional $8 billion in defense dollars in an apparent bid to ease national security hawks' concerns, while non-defense spending that Congress annually appropriates would decrease by about $13 billion.

There's also an added $6 billion for healthcare for veterans.

Google says the average American adult eats 281 eggs a year.

So 23 dozen. People are freaking out about spending an extra $50 per year on eggs? Seems like there are a few hundred more things they should be concerned about.

I don't get it either.

The cost of a used car went up 38% in one year and the media was like "So..."

The cost of a monthly mortgage note for new home owners virtually doubled and it was "well, that's how markets work..."

Energy prices went through the roof and it was "good, we need to save the environment"

The cost of a college education left the CPI index like it was a speck on the ground and it was "let's cancel student debt then and hope magic fairies sprinkle pixie dust on the root problems for anyone going to college in the future..."

Goods and services skyrocketed during Covid and they kept hitting the economic pause button and firing up the kleptocratic printing press over and over because "if it saves just one life..."

But the cost of eggs shoots up for a blatantly obvious and unavoidable reason (dead chickens don't lay eggs) and the media is piling into the WH press room demanding answers and spamming the internet with propaganda.

Hmmm...

F--k these clowns. They permanently destroyed the American Dream for millions of Americans and NOW they want to throw a hissy fit because people (mostly overweight) have to spend a measly extra $20 a year to get their bacon n' egg fix?

Eggs are a common ingredient in many different dishes and a very popular breakfast item, especially for people who limit carb intake.

It’s a staple food. We’d feel the same way about rice and potatoes.

Funny thing is growing up, we were poor and eggs were cheap. We ate a lot of eggs and ate them often. Swore that when I grew up I would never eat eggs again. My blood sugar is high and that's the only thing stopping me from fricking up a bowl of eggs and rice..

Easy for you to say. You've got ducks delivering eggs to you.
There's pictures on the outdoor board to prove it
Really though you're absolutely right... and in about 3 months nobody will even think about this stuff. Media driven.
