What’s the data on old people causing accidents? Is it a proven problem?

According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, a senior citizen is more likely than a younger driver to be at fault in an accident in which they are involved. The most common violations include failure to obey traffic signals, unsafe turns and passing, and failure to yield the right of way.

I wonder if these old people are causing more collisions than non-old people texting or otherwise driving distractedly. If they aren’t, what could be done to test for attentiveness?

Texting/drinking are the biggest culprits when it comes to car accidents, but the difference is there are massive movements and laws to decrease those deaths. There is essentially no work being done to decrease car accidents caused by senior citizens, despite being a real problem.

The 23rd? lol ok

The 26th passed with over 90% in the House and unanimous in the Senate. And was ratified in 3 months. Pretty weird desire to want to deny the vote to people that were being drafted at the time.

The solution was arse backwards. Instead of lowering voting age to 18, they should have raised the draft age back to 21 where it had been before November, 1942.

Go back to the way the constitution was written. To vote one needs to have some skin in the game and own land.

Biden is senile
Biden did not win

Kamala is a horrible person and a worst VP

News is the most anti American institution

Twitter is going to cause a civil war
90% of Twitter responses are Twitter bots that only push twitters leftist agenda.

The credit system is a scam.

Also insurance. While I agree it is needed and necessary, I think the normal person is too often fricked over with the rates and the rising costs.

State workers on DROP should be “under contract” and can be fired for any policy violation.

I think by the time a kid reaches high school, you should have an idea of how successful they’ll be at managing life. If they aren’t showing any promise, they should go to high schools that focus heavily on life skills and trades

On a personal moral level: If you question, even for just a few moments, whether to do a certain thing is wrong or right, it is almost always wrong.

Economically: Most folks will always act in their own self-interest. It is not a bad thing. It is so consistently done, economic laws are based on it.

Politically: We cannot be taxed into prosperity. The poor will never benefit by harming the rich.

Well it does show you become worse as you age past a certain point.

Not necessarily a senior citizen.

But the excuse at a young age is no experience.

If you change the driving age to 18. The crashes and fatalities will switch higher to that group and be non existent for the 16 year olds.
