What helped you with starting a new sleep schedule?

Got my first job out of college and I work from 7-5 M-F. I know some of you have been doing it your whole life so it’s easy, but I’m new to this.
I’m slowly getting used to getting up so early, but what helps you not feel absolutely exhausted throughout the day? I’m usually fine until after lunch, but I get home every day in a bad mood because I’m so damn tired and I hate it.
Any advice baws? Don’t clown me

Get up even earlier and hit the gym first.

Watch what you eat for lunch. Anything heavy carb loaded is going to make you crash. Have a snack and coffee at 2:30/3 until you can make it without

Get 8 hours of rack time. My 6 year old is a monster if she doesn’t get 10 hours too.

My CPAP!
It seriously changed my life. I wake up feeling refreshed and no longer crash throughout the day now.

Not a single damn thing. I am a terrible sleeper. Always have been. I just quit trying. I get 4-5 hours sleep every single day with 5 hours being max.
Been that way fore 30 damn years.
frick it. I will sleep when Im dead I guess

No caffeine after 3/4 pm, eat dinner earlier and go to bed earlier, maybe try to take some melatonin gummies to help you go to sleep first few days / weeks. Exercise in the morning if possible as well.

I get up at 4 am every day. Most days I'm luck to get 6-7 hrs of sleep.
But getting up earlier is easy. Go to bed earlier than you think you have to.

Half of the summer I'm up at 3 am to be on the water by 4 by choice.

Get kids. Simplest way to wear your arse out so that you go to bed on time.

I usually jackoff before bed….then once again when I wake up. After that its 3-4x before lunch then hit it again back to back on the 10min ride home. Hope this helps

I did similar back in the day. Read that you can restart a sleep schedule by staying up all night. So have a night out, I forced myself to stay awake then went to bed at like 5pm. The next day I was tired by 6pm and going to bed earlier was easy.

Just depends on your individual situation. Make sure you get enough sleep for you. You probably need 8 hours so in bed by 10 if you fall asleep quickly and wake up at 6 to start work for 7. No cell phone or computer or tablet 1 hour before bed to get ready for real sleep. I hate getting up early so I work out the evenings mostly. Good luck, you’ll figure it out.
