My days are spent around the B’ham metro area. I stay on the road daily and almost always eat at various restaurants daily as well. One thing I have noticed is probably 90+% of people follow the mask rules. Also when out doing Christmas shopping this year I also observed almost everyone wore their mask. Only occasionally would there be an exception to this rule where someone was not wearing a mask.

What are you seeing in regards to masking in public areas?

From what I’ve seen people wear them where they are required. Then you have some dumbasses who wear them jogging and driving in vehicles by themselves. But for the most part people do it only where required.

People are either wearing them or not wearing them

They are a hall pass for people to get from point A to point B without being hassled by the woke crowd then they’ll disregard them

Some of the most annoying mask advocates I’ve seen up close and personal socializing with strangers without one

My wife has a mask that’s made out of the same material and has the same pattern as a pair of her panties.

Where I live it is very rare not to see anyone not masked up in public places indoors.

That they don’t work .

And somehow people are still contracting Covid at record rates even though people are doing the same stuff they’ve done since April yet continuing to jusitify their success that the measures are actually working

Rural Mississippi and people aren’t really wearing them anymore. And some of the stores like Wal-mart aren’t even enforcing it anymore.

This is consistent with what I see in the Bham area. Compliance is practically universal indoors, with a fair number of people wearing outside with no one else around, in their cars while by themselves, etc. And yet it hasn't moved the needle on halting the spread of the virus. Not at all. I actually thought it would, but I was wrong. Don't know what it is going to take for people to accept that this is futile.

More without, plenty not covering their nose, products being worn that won’t work at all...to be fair - that is almost all of the ones being worn. In short, we will see a surge in cases. The question is, will the response by the politicians be draconian. My guess is that a return to phase one is incoming. Some people must simply enjoy lording over others in a tyrannical sort of way:

Some people wear them.

Some people dont.

I don’t care either way.

I only put them on where I have to.

Same as you. And no mask confrontations that I've seen.

A face like that needs a mask. Maybe even a paper bag.

Along 30A, not everyone is wearing masks these days, especially outdoors.

I don't wear mine outdoors either. We're either walking for fitness or riding bikes, so not in close proximity to others.

The vast majority of people who are wearing masks are wearing them underneath their noses.

There have been lots of vacationers in town for the holidays. We should see a mass exodus this weekend.
