I live in hotspot Albany, GA. The vast majority of people are smart enough to wear masks.
And yet Albany is a hotspot.
How odd. Everyone is wearing masks, but people are still getting sick despite wearing the masks.

It’s amazing how we figure this out. The older folks who may be at risk aren’t joining us for gatherings. The government doesn’t have to mandate it

Weird how the brown stains are in the same spot huh.

I don’t live around many slackjaws in places like Alabama, so I would say for everyone I see violating a mask policy, I see a few thousand that don’t.

If true, what’s the matter with this?

I’ve noticed many people are all talk and no action when it comes to masks. They talk a big game against them but they make sure to wear them in public.

There isn't a single thing you can do to change the minds of the Most Holy Church of the Masked Covidian.
Wearing a mask is their religion, and scolding those who don't is now their life's purpose.
It will never end with them.
Wearing a mask makes them a “good person” & anyone who disagrees with them is a bad person.
They can’t tolerate any idea that makes them feel like their self-importance is unearned.

Masks aren’t 100% but they are the best protection we have from spreading or catching the virus, especially in higher risk situations where social distance may not be under your control.
Do you know anyone who’s gotten COVID that wears a mask, maintains social distance and keeps their hands sanitized? I personally do not, although I do know people who have gotten it by being careless or letting their guard down.
Nobody LIKES wearing a mask- but it’s what we should be doing to slow this. I don’t know how you can say they “don’t work”. If you wear a mask and keep your hands sanitized, it does work to reduce the risk.

Then why are places where they mandate masks having 59% higher incidence of spread? Also, now that 3 studies came out PROVING that asymptomatic people do not spread it, masks are illogical. How can people still continue to do shite that doesn't work and not stay up to date on the data?

The ONLY people I know that have gotten it do all of that shite.

Anecdotally the two families I know who have taken this more serious than anyone else both had 4/4 test positive within the last 2 weeks. One family has almost never left their house and got it anyhow.

I haven't worn a mask and haven't gotten ill. Everyone I know who has gotten sick (which isn't many people) have all worn the mask and go nuts with sanitizing everything.

Most people out here wear them, but lots of folks wear them under their noses. And others, like me, constantly tugging on them and touching their faces in the process.

Because people are not following the rules. It is mandated where I live. I’d say 15% of people I see in the grocery store aren’t wearing a mask or wearing it properly. That says nothing about who they are visiting or having in their homes. It doesn’t matter if you are around friends or family, it literally takes one infected person to start a chain reaction.
How do you not understand this??? How do you think the virus is being transferred? It’s a bunch of mask wearing folks staying at home? Or the dumbass college kids who came home and had thanksgiving or Christmas dinner with their extended families?

We believe in science sir.
Meanwhile the areas with the tightest restrictions did not fare any better than those that remained fairly open.
