When no registers are open, I just walk out with it.

A lot of these places make their margin on protection plans. Just like video rental stores and the late fees, its not the product, but the derivative sales they must capture.

BB has saved me a few times

My only gripe is that during checkout they ask all kinds of questions and then at the CC machine, it asks another 6-7 questions asking me to donate to some BS garbage, my phone number, email, bla bla bla

I just want to swipe the card and get the frick out without having to deal with all that bullshite.

If there are a few people in front of you in the checkout line.. it takes forever for them to check out dealing with all of the dumb questions - it’s annoying as hell

Surprisingly they had beefed up their game for a while after the online onslaught. The service really improved and made it worth making the trip to see items in person and actually get assistance. However, those days are gone. My last two visits were awful service and will be my last.

I may reverse that for an appliance but I doubt it.

Walked into Lowes and asked the "customer service" person where the lawn leaf bags were. She said, "What's a lawn leaf bag?".

In a Lowes.

I've bought stuff on their website to pick up at the local store. Pain in the arse.

I was trying to find a DAC in their cables section and there was nothing.

I did find a Monster cable DAC at WMT. It's not a Benchmark or PS Audio device, but for bedroom TV, more than enough.

IF you need a HT receiver you can find a Yamaha or Denon in stock but nothing else.

Amazon is pretty decent about getting stuff the next day if you order it early enough

I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon that shows 2 day shipping when I place the order. The next day I get an email saying my item will arrive in 4-10 days. I’m about done w Amazon.

That was pre-COVID Amazon

Post-COVID Amazon shipping is back to the old standard way unless you live in a big metro area.

Last time I went the website said they had something in stock so I went to where it should be and it wasn't there.

People really need to understand that no store inventory is accurate on the website. If it’s something they carry it will show in stock online even if it actually isn’t…this gets you into the store where most people will just buy something comparable if what they want isn’t there.

At least you didn’t go to Walmart where they lock up even the Ethernet cords.

Then they charge you more at the register than if you bought it online and had a worker pick it up for your and deliver it to your car.

Yeah Walmart sucks in the price match department. They won’t even price match their own app. They want customers to use pickup so badly, you get hit with a 10% price increase for not using it and going in the store.

shite company. Think they have a 14 day return policy which is unheard of really in this day and age.
