A ghoulish attraction? Gutted and turned into something else? Cleaned up and just used again like nothing happened?

This. The tragedy won't get in the way of money, and there will be a lot of people who want to stay in this room. At the most they might renumber it.

New carpet, new paint, new windows, new furniture.

I'd be surprised if they did more than fix the windows.

Wasn't is a suite? Probably refit it in to multiple rooms.

I bet this is good reason to tear it all down. Alot of people will go elsewhere. Tear down, re brand, rebuild.

They’re not going to tear down the whole building. Maybe rebrand. Remodel the room at least.

Clean the carpet, put new sheet on the bed, replace the windows and then charge sick fricks that get off on stuff like this(we all know they are out there) twice as much to stay there.

Perhaps. I bet they have some kind of insurance for events like this. Anyone know if that exists?

As already mentioned, they will gut the room. Rearrange the walls, renumber the room, and go back to opening the space for rent.
Think about what folks in the 31st or 33rd floor are thinking, too.

Just rent it to foreigners that have no clue.

I will bet that it will be taken out of circulation.

The Mandalay Bay wants this issue behind them.

The potential negative publicity is too great for the general public to have access to use that suite's space for events that reflect negatively on the property.

That publicity would keep the issue on the public's radar and generally not in a positive way for the property.

The Hotel has Terrorism Insurance to cover lost revenue and some degree of their exposure as to due diligence in not keeping a nut from setting up a machine gun emplacement on their 32nd Floor.

We shall see if they are successful in that endeavor, probably not completely would be my guess.

I feel bad for Mandalay Bay. It was not their fault this happened, and to some degree, I bet employees there feel responsible.

Reasonable post. Ive been to vegas alot and have never been to Mandalay Bay. I never would because Paris comps me well but I'm guess lots of so cal traffic would come back if price point was slightly lower than comparable resort.

Agree, Mandalay Bay brand will no longer be a thing in the future.

Prob cleaned up and eventually used again.

I have an Indian (dot) friend who's family owns hotels. He's got some pretty good stories. You'd be amazed at the number of people that commit suicide in a hotel room. Some gruesome, some just a hanging or something. Either way, they just clean it up and someone else is sleeping there within a week.

Maybe it'll be the new location of the ice and vending machines.

But in all likelihood, they'll remodel it, maybe split it into multiple rooms, renumber it. It won't look anything like the room that the shooter used.
