What does that even mean? It'll surely take a hit, but it'll be fine in the long run.
He's saying they will rebrand it. IE call it "Whatever Resort" instead of "Mandalay Bay"
That doesn't mean it goes out of business.

Yea, that's almost as equally as absurd as saying they'll tear it down.
The hotel is going nowhere, and the name Mandalay Bay is going nowhere. They'll take a hit in the short term, and in the long term MB will be just fine.

It certainly didn’t help their brand any. I’m sure plenty of people who normally would have considered staying there who will now choose to stay someplace else.

They will put a new window in, replace the carpet and rent it out in about 2 weeks.

They'll just stay at the MGM or Luxor...which are all owned by the same parent company.

Also obvious: They won't change the name or tear the hotel down and eventually, things will be normal again at MB.

What's the latest with the fairgrounds across the street? Feel sorry for that company as well b/c they had nothing to do with it. That venue is no mas.

They'll probably just take the room out of rotation, maybe the entire floor for a certain duration of time.
Mandaly Bay isn't going anywhere, you may have a few people that shy away for a while, but you're not going to see a mass exodus of people.
They didn't do anything wrong. They just unfortunately had a nut job decide to use their hotel to carry out his plans.

FWIW the top 4 floors of the Mandalay Bay are already The Four Seasons. Stayed there a few years ago.

They should take that entire wing out of rotation for a while. Imagine all the drunk idiots who will try to go to or near that room at 4am and will cause a commotion for the guests sleeping in the room.

I honestly feel bad for the employees. I'm willing to bet the person working at the front desk feels sick to their stomach knowing they gave him the key to his murderous room
A house keeping lady absolutely wishes she would have noticed something off about the room she was cleaning.
I imagine there are plenty of people in that hotel or around the area who remember seeing him, who may have smile, nodded, or shook his hand.

Pretty safe bet that no house keepers were in there cleaning.

This brings to mind other questions.
What happened to the movie theater in colorado. Is that theater still open. What about the specific screen where everything went down. I would doubt that is still in use but I could be wrong.
Pulse night club in Orlando?

I'm willing to bet it will eventually be back open. But I for one would never stay in that room. Matter of fact if I ever stayed there I would be sure to make sure that theyre not putting me in that room.

Why? do you think it might rub off on you like poison ivy?
I mean, it's a tragic thing, but its not like staying in a room where something bad happened makes you a member of the club.

Isn't the Mandalay Bay where all the UFC fights are held? Or most of them?
Posted on 10/5/17 at 12:08 pm to weagle99
It will be treated like Paul Allen's apartment

They were held there for the longest time but that probably changed when the company was sold.
MB being non-union in some capacity (culinary union I believe) is tied to why UFC is blocked from holding events in NY state.

Cleaned up, renamed The Shooter's Suite and prices doubled.
