I met R Lee Ermey twice. He was a damn funny guy.
First time, we saw him at an event and my buddy runs over, hands me his phone and asks Ermey “can you yell at me while I do push ups?” (This guy was kind of a douche as I later found out) Ermey says “no, my contract says I can’t do that but I can strangle you…” Guy I am with barely gets “what?!?” Out of his mouth and Ermey grabs him by the throat. I got a great photo of it.
Second time was at SHOT show. We are walking past a long line of people waiting in an aisle. My friend says “I wonder what these people are waiting on?” I say “I don’t know but there better be free blow jobs at the end of a line this long if you want me to wait in it…” As I say that, we are passing the end of the line at the Glock booth and Ermey is signing autographs. He heard my comment, jumped up from the table and came over to us and said “now that’s funny shite” and palmed me a USMC challenge coin. I have it on my wall.
