Are you just trying to get us to do case research for you?

Do you know what a compounding pharmacist or pharmacy is?

Vaguely. At least they create compounds. I’m more talking about the CVS pharmacist taking 30 pills from the big bottle and putting them in the little bottle.

ignore the phone, not acknowledge people standing at your counter then when you Rx of 30 little pills is 2 days late tell you it'll be 30 minutes if you wanna wait....so count 1 pill a minute

I've always wondered how hard pharmacy school would be? Is it just a shite ton of chemistry courses and learning what meds do, etc.?

No, I don’t do any type of medical malpractice work.

Just was at a pharmacy today and realized I was pretty ignorant to what they actually do.

There are tens of thousands of pharmacy positions outside of pharmacies- labs, research, etc. A ton work on vaccine development.

Pharmacists have told me retail sucks. The hospital pharmacists probably do much more.

I am sure they have cut back a bit now but for a while anyone with a pulse could get into pharmacy school. Way too many pharmacy schools were opened.

Their college curriculum is very difficult. At work in retail pharmacy it’s mostly just count out pills and put them in a bottle and slap a label on it.
Hospital pharmacy is a little more interesting.
I knew a lot of pharmacists during my nursing career, the vast majority said they hated it,especially retail. It pays well so they would stick with it.

Theoretically they are supposed to catch drug interactions and contraindications ,sometimes they did but not always.

Tell physicians they are not intelligent enough to do their job.

Be able to recognize when someone in the system of drug company to me fricked up, and hopefully point it out so I don't die taking the wrong medication.

Pharm D programs are 4 years now so most pharmacist spend at least 7 years in college. While your question is geared more towards the retail pharmacists, there are still plenty that do compounding (especially in hospital settings), research, drug development, etc.

I dated a pharmacist and you wouldn't believe how many times she told me that a doctor fricked up a prescription/dosage that could've possibly lead to very bad consequences had she not caught them.

Veterinarians too. its a foreign concept to a lot of them that different species have different drug tolerances and required dosing.

They take the order from the doctor and give it to the drug manufacturer. Well, not the pharmacist exactly, the pharmacy technician. The manufacturers aren’t good with people you see, so rather them deal with doctors, the pharmacist does it. They’re good with people damn it!
