Wife has a family member that owns a salon. I don't know a dollar figure he makes, but from his house, he must make well into the 6 figures. Wife always got free cuts because of that. I have no idea what she pays when she goes somewhere else. She only goes like 3 times a year though, so it's not that big of a deal.

about $200 w/o tip. However, she only gets her hair cut 2-3 times a year. my sister probably spends twice that amount if not more.

no pics of either

$125 including tip. Lady in our neighborhood does hair so I'm probably getting off cheap.

Serious question, what are they doing at these salons that can't be done at Great Clips for $20.

They are making sure she doesn't come out of there looking like the dudes from dumb and dumber

Don't ask, don't tell.

Luckily there is no coloring involved.

I'm surprised no one has referenced the other type of haircut a woman might experience.

Holy crap. $150 for a cut? That's insane.

I go about every four months and get mine cut, pay about $30-40 each time with a $5-8 tip. I've even gone to Great Clips, but then I don't have a complicated hairstyle.

My husband gets his cut every 5-6 weeks and spends about $15. I tease him often about having a larger hairdresser budget than me.

'Bout a buck twenty last I ask, but I don't mind. She works, makes her own money and god knows I spend more than that on myself most days. So if $120 bucks or whatever every so often makes her happy then who cares.

That covers highlights or lowlights or other shite I don't ask about and she only gets just a fraction cut. Oh well, to each their own.

My wife is pretty high maintenance, and only gets her hair done about every 3 months or so. Takes about 4-5hrs each time bc her stylist is very busy, and does a great job.

I don't mind though bc on the rare occasion I get her to cut my hair, I get huge fake boobs shoved in my face. I pays off in the end.

If you stop coloring your hair, you'll save a ton...Obviously. While in college (and poor) I managed to still spend $150 every 6 weeks on my blonde highlights. The month after my wedding I was over it-went to my girl and she put dark coloring over the blonde. It took at least a full year and an additional "darkening" appointment to get rid of the blonde highlights.

The last four years I've made up for how much I used to spend. Only went maybe 3x year with longer hair for trims. Hair is natural color and sooooo much healthier now. I kick myself for ever starting with highlights in HS.

However.. I get a stray grey now and then.. Is it pricey to gloss your hair (to cover grey without coloring it) every 6-8 weeks? I need an older, wiser OT broad to enlighten me.

I spend 40 on a haircut every 3-4 months. Takes the stylist about an hour....sounds too cheap to me.

She said that's her problem. So she gets it colored, which is where the money comes from, obviously.

$100 - $120. Depends on if she gets highlights or not. Pisses me off. I pay $16 at the barber.

The worst real boobs I've ever had shoved in my face were still pretty excellent.

Wife spends around $50 on a haircut. Yesterday she had a friend's daughter come to the house and cut it. The girl just finished school at Paul Mitchell - she pad $20,000 for a 10 month program. That is insane. I had no idea those schools charged that much. Only cost me around $30K for freaking dental school in the early '90s.

How would I know?

I don't nitpick her spending because I really don't want her doing it to me
