I'd buy that for the wife for sure.

Toyota radios are stuck in 2008 though.

I just got a GS 430 and I love it. I like it more than any car I’ve ever drove.

How?

I don't love Lexus styling but they're reliable vehicles with great interiors and they make great use of space. Honestly, if you like the size of a 4Runner but you are an adult who needs an interior that doesn't look like a cheaply-made spaceship, the 460 is a great option IMO

I recently went through the car buying process for my wife. This was on the list initially. After test driving it and some competitors, we found that the interior felt pretty outdated. Additionally, the rear hatch opens the wrong direction for US roads (the GX is built alongside the LC Prado in Japan). Nice looking truck though

That’s a really fine vehicle.

I would definitely drive that

That interior is TERRIBLE. It's all around not-the-best style, but damn that dash layout is garbage.

But in 8 years it won't have a single issue, while your Volvo will be in the shop once a month chasing electrical issues.

Only way we're keeping the Volvo 8 years is if I end up driving it. I guess I could break out the plasti dip and put some mud tires on it.

A 4Runner is already overpriced. It's worse in every way to a Highlander, but it looks cool and not like a minivan so they jack up the price

Would be on my short list.

- Price between GX460 and a 4Runner Limited is less than you would think and you will get what you pay for in fit and finish.

- Should hold up for 200k miles easy.

- Can easily convert to an offroad vehicle once it's no longer new and shiny. KDSS and center locking diff come standard. Take off side running boards, give it a 1-2 inch lift kit, and put on capable tires and this unit will handle mountain trails and mud like a Land Cruiser.

Looks like an over priced 4Runner

It's a 4 runner with better fit, finish, and options.

I hate this. Nissans aren't Infinitis, Lexus aren't Toyotas, etc.

They put a shite load more time, engineering, quality of materials, etc. into the higher end line

Another nice truck. They drove us around in those for a work trip in the ME.

The seats were always worn out on every one I've seen. The sides were fine, but the part where your legs go lost all of its color.

We got a GX 470 instead

It hasn't changed much since its inception back in 2003 (GX 470).

But that can be said for a good number of Toyota's.

I personally think it is overpriced and underpowered. The fit and finish are great, it's a Toyota. But I believe there are better looking SUVs out on the market today than the GX 460.

Have you looked inside the engine bay?

Don't be fooled by the badges on the engine.

That's what matters the most. The rest are just bells and whistles and window dressings. Not saying extra amenities aren't worth it, but when you strip it on down, Acura is Honda, Infiniti is Nissan and Lexus is Toyota.
