re: UPS plane crashes in Louisville?

Extremely sad for those killed and their families.
UPS corporate has to be shitting themselves with this occurring at Worldport right before peak season.

My dad took one trip onboard. He doesn’t have great memories of it as his company was rushing him home from overseas business to attend his father’s funeral.

I used Quali-Pro Quinclorac 75 DF
I think the ratio was 2TBSP per gallon water. And yes, I used a surfactant

Zoysia, Torpedograss, and Quinclorac

All - seeking guidance. Context: Last November I had my front lawn resodded. The old lawn was a mess of weeds and torpedo grass. The crew used a sod cutter and dug down 10 inches discarding everything. They then sprayed to kill any torpedo grass roots at that level. Then they came back in with new fill and laid zoysia sod on top.
I recently noticed torpedo creeping back into the lawn. I applied Quinclorac and a surfactant about 3 weeks ago where I saw the torpedo. It definitely has beat back the torpedo but it also yellowed the zoysia pretty good. The lawn now looks spotty. I fertilized the lawn about 10 days after the Quinclorac treatment and the lawn seems happy everywhere else.
Questions: is the yellowing of zoysia normal? How often can I selectively spray the new torpedograss that has since appeared?
Any other tips for a newbie?
Thank you all!

How about zoysia sod? I redid my front yard with the stuff in early December. Think there’s any chance it lives?
Experience with Maya Luxe

Anyone on the board have experience booking Mexican rentals through Maya Luxe?
I’m part of an annual group trip to Destin and the group is eyeing a change in scenery in 2025. Also, with the cost of a vacation to the panhandle, we can get a villa on the beach with a private chef included..
Tulum area is where we are looking if that matters. Thanks for the input!

Look into buying a trisuit. It’ll increase your swim speed and offer a little padding for the bike.
Like the other poster mentioned, practice the transition. Great to have a plan but actually putting your plan into action while wet, full of adrenaline and winded may change your effectiveness.
The elastic belt helps to pin your number onto. You can strap it on in T1
Good luck! I’ve heard the Bret Robinson is a fun race!

I’ve read it. Definitely a page turner and a book that makes ya think. The 60s in NOLA was long before my time but it seems like it was quite a bit wilder back then

Need some book recs
Posted by keepAMERICAstrong on 11/8/23 at 6:01 am
I just finished The Fish that Ate the Whale. Sam Zemurray’s story opened my eyes to a few topics I’d enjoy reading more about. Hoping this board can help with a few recs.
1. A book about the explorers/expeditions that discovered the Americas
2. A book that covers the experience of European Jews after ww2 before Israel was formed
3. A book about the history of Israel that would help better explain the history behind the current Israeli/Palestinian conflict

Look at Arenas Del Mar near Manuel Antonio on the Pacific Coast and consider hiring a private plane to fly you into the Arenal region and stay at Nayara Resort.

Louie’s Backyard, Hot tin Roof and Matt’s Stock Island are all great. Schooner Wharf Bar is cool right next to Jimmy Buffets original recording studio.

Witnessed a drive by shooting while driving with my family and had tools stolen out of my backyard shed after Hurricane Ida knocked my fence down.
The shooting was shocking and the news reported it as drug related but it hasn’t affected me long term. Was honestly more frustrated by the tool stealing as it felt much more violating to know a crook was in my yard.
