I don't invite people to my house. I don't like having people outside of the immediate family at my house. If someone shows up uninvited, I keep them on the front porch and demand that they state their business and then leave.

It’s going to depend on circumstances. If there’s a game on that people are interested in, then the game will be on. Otherwise, we’ll have background music on, and that music will depend upon who is over and what we are doing.
Completely different music genre by the pool as opposed to when indoors having a nice dinner.
If the Tv is on, rarely will anything other than sports be on. We’ll put a kids show in the front room if there are several children here. But we’re not having people over and watching a sitcom together in the living room
ETA: music playlist can vary from Tame Impala, Michael Buble, Logic, Jimmy Buffett, Tool, 50 Cent, Sinatra, or even some George Strait. Really depends on who’s here and what we’re doing. It’s most often on some Indie pop/rock station.

we have an echo and a tv that plays pandora or spotify.
if people are coming over and we're cooking, usually 40s swing and jazz.
if there's a lot of chilling and people milling about, instrumental (sleeping at last, explosions in the sky, max richter, Ramin Djawadi, etc.)
on the deck or grilling is a deck mix which is pretty much a james gunn soundtrack.

I also do this but the entrance is a mister filled w/ my urine. I like to mark them with my musk.
If any of them make eye contact w/ me I challenge them to a fight and the kick them out if the house.

I like to put on shows like Sopranos whenever I have uptight family or friends over because it makes them uncomfortable with all the strip club scenes and language
