Ok, I don't do this, but are you one of those people that leaves dishes in sink for someone else to clean or leaves food in the fridge for months on end?

I couldn't work in an environment where I didn't have a door to slam when idiots were laughing and cutting up like they were in a night club trying to talk over the DJ right outside my office.

"Hey VolsOut4Harambe, how was your weekend...blah blah blah...got a quick moment?"
Just fricking say what you need.

Why do you have DJ right outside your office?
I like music but that has got to be a distraction.

I haven't worked in the office in 7-8 years but when I did.
One time they moved us near the bathroom doors, on Wednesday the building deli had enchiladas and around two PM the herd of heifers would stampede to the bathroom.
The smell would gag a buzzard.

When someone puts their dick on my shoulder from behind and I get surprised and turn to see what it is and I have a random dick right at mouth level! I hate it! So glad I work remote now!

Had one of these back in my cubicle days

The lack of privacy and having somewhere "pretty" to work.
If I am going to spend the majority of my waking hours there, I want privacy and actual walls and a window, so I can decorate a little and close the door if I need quiet or am on a break.
I've upgraded to working from home and have a whole room now as my office, its the best and I dont think I could ever go back to an office, let alone a cubicle.

Dumbasses burning microwave popcorn.
I was able to tune out the noise, the chatter and the other idiocy in an office setting.
Burned popcorn was the absolute worst - because it was stupidly avoidable.

I don't know how people work in cubicles, though I suppose you adapt. I've worked in some small spaces over the years, including for a few weeks a windowless closet with my back to the door so that I'd jump whenever someone came in to ask me a question. I designed my present office space when we moved to this building. It's 11 x 11 with two of the walls consisting of large panel windows and a view of a marina. It's heaven. My ambitious coworkers are waiting for me to retire so that they can assume my position and take over my office.

Last two weeks have been horrible for my production at my desk due to the damn Coaching Changes Board.

Have seen 911 called and the building evacuated over this dumbass shite.
'Oh we called 911 out of "an abundance of caution."

In my case it was having to sit across from the “loud guy”. He would talk extremely loud on conference calls so he could talk over others. He had at least 1 lengthy conf call per day.
Once my boss called while loud guy was doing his thing and the boss asked what the hell was that? I assured him it was not a loud TV, only the loud guy.

I worked in a cubicle for a short time, I have a booming voice, great for presentations or any public speaking, lousy for people in the cubicles around me. They banished me to a private office, awwwww.
