I’ve always done some form of dark roast community coffee…But we went to Costa Rica this summer and toured a coffee farm. They told us dark roast was from the burned coffee beans during the roasting process. We had the freshest coffee straight from the roasted beans in medium and light roasts…Made me stop buying the dark roast.

Just out of curiosity, does the salt make the flavor more robust or just give it a hint of salt?
Takes away bitterness. Gives it a more mellow flavor. If it taste salty, that's way to much. Err on the side of underdoing it with the salt.

Takes away bitterness. Just takes a tiny bit.

I drink my coffee black so I can really tell if a coffee has a good flavor or not. Last Christmas I bought about 10 different bags of beans to try and Gevalia mild beans were by far the best. Unfortunately they have been hard to find lately.

Community breakfast blend.
It’s like the Chick-fil-A of coffees. Consistency.

River Road Coffee is the best I’ve ever tried, but then again I am no connoisseur. Has zero bad aftertaste. Got my FIL to try it and he said the same thing
