I have a very similar rescue. Did a DNA. Looks to me like she has a bit of shorthair pointer, small pit (terrier), Dalmatian.

She will shut down for the first few days on you while she observes your routine and gains trust. Then she’ll be a wild one but lovable.

And it’s going to shed a good bit.

It doesn’t really have the “butt head” though

Yea neither does mine but we got a DNA test and he ended up having a little bit in him about 12.5%. Turns out he’s about as mutt as they come though. Mix of about 6 different breeds lol.

Beagle, rat terrier, plus something big judging from the size of those paws.

To me it 100% looks like a rat terrier. Maybe rat terrier/beagle?

I had a rat terrier/Jack Russell mix that lived to 13 years old. Was the sweetest, beautiful, most loyal dog ever. Never had a beagle, but rat terriers are excellent dogs. Good looking dog you got.

Props on adopting a dog from the Humane Society!

Definitely has a lot of Beagle. Agree with the posters that say likely a mix of Beagle and Jack Russell Terrier.

Our 2nd family Rat was a “miniature rat terrier” per her papers
She was 35 #
She was long & round like a roll of ground meat
Pretty sure a weenie dog was the Dad

Of all the ones we had she was the sweetest & most gentle
