Never really gave them a ton of thought one way or another but one is now stopping regularly like 5 minutes away from my neighborhood and it’s really good and now I’m thinking i appreciate this convenient new approach to put tasty food in my stomach

they're great when I'm a captive audience like at a brewery that doesn't serve their own food

any other time I probably wouldn't seek out $10 artisanal grilled cheese that takes at least 20 minutes

A good food truck is great, a bad food truck is shitty, sometimes literally

Best hamburger I’ve had in the last 10 years was off a food truck.

Most of the time, a truck isn’t preferable over a brick and mortar restaurant. You’re waiting outside with no shade or seating for a product that isn’t cheap either. Not only that, but if you like it, you have to track that mofo down.

The good is that they allow entrepreneurs to test out creative ideas at a lower setup cost. This allows the successful ones to eventually transition into being a brick & mortar.

Food trucks are awesome.

I find that taco trucks are the best. Some decent fried rice trucks. Had some good BBQ at some.

This is kind of like asking what are your thoughts on restaurants. Some are shoddy some are good. Live a little and try it.

Started seeing them show up in Dallas around 2009 or so. Slowly gained some traction once they were effective at marketing on social media and shedding the roach coach stigma. There's some great good out there 10 years later.

Either the greatest culinary treat you'll ever have or the worst case of gut rot food poisoning you can get. No in between.

You can't live in Austin without eating at a food truck every now and then, so I have no issues with them.

Some of our really good brick and mortar restaurants here were once food trucks.

They are all over town here. The first time that I saw one on a cooking show, I thought that it was a great idea. I hardly ever eat at them, though. The food really sucks in this part of the country. Regret it almost every time I've eaten out here.

Before covid and I was working in the CBD 5 days a week there were plenty of good food trucks within a few blocks of my office. Most of them were pretty good.

Same for Downtown Baton Rouge. Covid (work from home orders) wiped them out, and rising food prices finished them off.

I finally saw the blue Cuban truck again last Friday and a Cuban and fries was up to $13.
