What are the origins this California vs Louisiana feud on Tigerdroppings?

Did it all start when USC won the AP national championship in 2003 pissing off LSU fans? Every other day there is a thread here bashing high California home prices and cost of living, cheering exodus of companies from the Bay Area and such when I'm pretty sure a majority of those railing on CA have never lived or worked there. It's really comical reading those threads.

Believe it or not, many baws have never left the state unless it was on a plane or helicopter headed to an oil rig. All they hear is the liberal nonsense, not realizing that most large southern cities are exactly like California when it comes to politics. I haven’t heard of one person in real life that took a vacation to Cali and didn’t enjoy it.
