From 2010-2017 CA gained 6.13% in population
Cool, but that's not what I said. Many people can leave the state and total population can still increase - babies are born every day. But people are getting the hell out of certain areas where it's become impossible to afford the cost of living.

California the state is awesome.
It's the people that live there that make it shitty.

That’s quite the generalization.

Fine, fine. I guess maybe the very northern part of the state may have decent people.
But all areas I've visited? Douchebags. Douchebags everywhere.

I’ve visited San Francisco, San Diego, and Napa valley and had great experiences with everyone I met.

The common denominator everywhere you went was you. Hmmmm....

There is no feud. Louisianians have a terribly warped perception of California, and Californians have a terribly warped perception of the rest of the country.

I live in a condo on the beach here and yea its expensive but the quality of life vs baton rouge or NOLA isn't even comparable imo.

I'm being polite. My wife had and in-laws had much worse things to say.
And they're all from Seattle.

You're the one that's nitpicking an example I posted while ignoring my broader claim that's absolutely true.
Nitpicking an example? You showed photos of a large house and claimed that this was, and I'm quoting you, "4,045 sqft. $478,871"
You actually tried to get away with saying this home would go for $118/sqft in the Dallas suburbs, but then refused to give a link. So either a) you lied, or b) this house is nowhere near civilization, which would tremendously weaken your argument.
As soon as everyone pointed that out, you just claimed people were "nitpicking" because you got caught in a bullshite lie.
For the record, if someone is happy living in the middle of nowhere where the COL is cheap and they can live in a nice house on a bunch of land, more power to them. I would much rather be in a city, but that's a personal preference. But your assertion that it's a "bad investment" and that people who live in smaller houses/apartments at a higher cost are unhappy and spend their entire paycheck to live in the house so they can't afford to enjoy where they live is asinine.

Based on comps, I believe he was off by anywhere between $1-1.5 million.
But yeah, semantics and nitpicking.

Notice more people are leaving Louisiana than California
