Oh they're not jealous at all.
They're just too busy moving out here to get away from from the bullshite they voted in California and enact the same crap here.
Looking at you Austin and Atlanta.

I’m none of the above, and, generally speaking, I can’t stand the whole west coast. Now, my experience comes from only visiting the larger cities, such as LA, San Fran, Seattle, Portland, etc. and those visits were work based so in and out - 2-3 days tops. However, I enjoy most of the east coast. Boston, NYC, Philadelphia, upstate New York, Etc.
Say 2hat you will about “us vs. them”, but I’d take our jealous, ignorant, and poor who are more hospitable, affable, and hard working over “them” any day of the week.
And LSU was THE national champion....F-USC.

This house with fricking bars on it in a rough part in Los Angeles just sold for half a million dollars.
Meanwhile in the deep south and Texas close to major cities, this is what half a million will buy you....
Tell us more about you get what you pay for.

From 2010-2017 CA gained 6.13% in population
Louisiana gained 3.33% in population
Louisiana was 1 of only 8 states that had a population decrease in 2017

I was thinking you'd have to be wayyy outside of Dallas to get houses like that for 500k.

Don’t lump Northern Cal with those chodes in LA or the Bay

Hope they have fun looking at the pretty ocean and mountains while being poor.

You do. Half a mil will get you a decent cookie cutter in the burbs, but you’ll be high fiving your neighbor.
Half a mil in the city is a 2-3 bed 1-2 bath mini house.
That top house in Dallas is $2 mil+ at LEAST

What 500k gets you in Houston's suburbs:
4,045 sqft. $478,871:

Yeah that’s like $750k in rural Texas an hour east of Dallas. Where the nearest restaurant/bar/grocery store is 30 minutes away.

That house would be 1million plus here in river ridge, la
