Breakfast - Drive through Sausage McMuffin.
Lunch i may take a little more time off the road for Waffle House, IHOP or such.
Dinner May take a longer break for a Cracker Barrel type.
After I get to destination i look for local places.

We drove from Baton Rouge to Pittsburgh one year, and I swear we stopped at Waffle House no fewer than 5x along the way there

When I’m in an unfamiliar area and hungry I always default to Waffle House.

I drove 50 or more miles out of my way, coming home from FL, to go to the only Whataburger in the state of GA (not for long). I almost did tried it again around Nashville driving home from the Midwest.

Cracker Barrel and Waffle House are always the correct answer.

I agree and do the same, but what do you do on Sunday's?
Seriously, Arby's has some good menu choices.

When I was a kid, I loved McDonald's for breakfast when my family went on a road trip.

Chili’s is a solid choice when you’re on the road.

I just drove 25 hours over the last 48, but didn’t stop and eat at an actual restaurant.

Dennys on Acadian was a solid option after getting hammered at the Caterie
Another option was to drive to illusions in woodville.
They put the wood in woodville

I am not joking at all. Seriously, I don't eat at chains on trips. Unless its with a group of people and someone suggest it and a few other people agree.. Im not going to be a dick and say "No". But my daddy told me this when I was a kid "when you go somewhere don't eat at a place you can eat at anytime" and it always made sense to me so I don't.

Whataburger, Waffle House, buccees. The rest aren’t worth stopping. I’ll eat gas station food until I get to my destination.

How is Waffle House not one of the first 5 responses? Waffle House is a must when I’m traveling
