Jesuit, and it’s not even close
Jesuit is a fine school, but no where near LSMSA or even Ben Franklin.

I’ve heard great things about Christian brothers from my cousin. His three boys go there and they’re all well mannered and bright. Probably more to do with their upbringing at home, but still, I hear the school is well run.

I have a kid at Episcopal in Lafayette. Seems to be a pretty good school.

The problem at Jesuit is it is schools within a school. If you are elite academically or athletically you have an entirely different experience than if you are Joe Average. I have heard this from relatives and friends who have attended there and have children there.
You cannot judge a school by how smart their top guns are or if they get their first college choice. Some of the kids at that level could self teach and get there. You judge a school by how many at every level get their college choice. I am not saying Jesuit is not a great school. It is just not necessarily a great school for everyone.
Had my son not gone to Newman he would not be where he is today. He was a below average student early on with a reading disorder. But a few teachers recognized what he had and convinced him he could do more. A combination of well recruited teachers and small class sized allowed him to flourish. He got into his first choice of college, a college that for the degree program to which he applied had under a 10% acceptance rate (Hint: I did not have to fake a rowing picture to get him in.)I have no doubt that in a larger school he would have still gotten an education but not reached his potential.

Can't disagree for the most part, though there are other benefits that average students receive from Jesuit. But yea if I had a kid who had some academic weaknesses, a smaller school would be better.
As far as Ben Franklin goes, academically it is right there with Jesuit but for just about everything else (sports, character, alumni connections, etc...), Jesuit wins hands down. And I've sent kids to both schools.

To be fair, you have a much better show with sex with a school employee at Jesuit.

The best schools are the ones that prepare their average students to be successful productive citizens in life...
I know doctors who went to EJ and Bonnabel , and I know some pretty shitty people that went to schools mentioned multiple times in this thread...

I agree. It would also add that it is a far more daunting feat that some public schools are trying to accomplish. And the crappy folks from those elite schools tend to bring a new level to crappy. But it also is true that some of these elite schools can amplify your chances for success.
